LawNet can quickly and economically convert any paper document to an electronic document. This allows you to store your paperwork more efficiently and access, reference and utilize your files more effectively. Large firms, companies and organizations devote entire rooms to document storage and frequently hire staff to manage the storage, maintenance and retrieval of documents as necessary. This is an inefficient use of space, time and money. This practice is just as inefficient for smaller firms in respect the associated overhead costs, and likely to a greater extent in respect to the physical management aspects. LawNet’s digital file conversion and storage services result in significant cost savings with respect to these issues for both large and small firms.
Imagine having instantaneous access to all of your documents that are currently in storage, archived, warehoused or cluttering up your office.
We have an easy 5 step process:
1. We take your files as they are. No advance preparation on your part is required.
2. Our staff carefully cleans and arranges each page by removing staples, clips, and folds to
ensure an accurate and usable image.

choice along with your files, or shred your files for a nominal fee.
Benefits of converting to electronic document storage
Saves physical space - LawNet scans your paper files converts them to Adobe PDF or TIFF image format, which formats are near universally accessible. Once converted, the electronic copy files are stored on a CD, DVD, thumb drive or other portable media. The paper files from a standard four draw file cabinet are easily stored on one CD.
Quickly find and share your firm’s vital information – Scanning a document using sophisticated Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software produces an electronic document that can be quickly searched for names, dates, legal citations and other keywords and phrases. Because your paper documents have been converted into a standard, universally accepted electronic format, you can easily email, print, or fax them right from your computer.
Save time and money - Free yourself from the organizational and administrative work required in the maintenance of paper documents. Reduce your overhead costs by reducing square footage dedicated to file cabinets, expenses on office supplies and other related expenses.
Ease of use and reliability – LawNet’s electronic document conversion services deliver your documents in universally accessible Adobe Acrobat file format; when paired with our OCR services allows the content to be searched and indexed. Converting to electronic documents allows you to store thousands of pages on a single CD, which in turn allows you to work wherever and whenever you wish without hauling files, binders or boxes of paper around.
Improved performance and effectiveness - Perhaps most importantly, saving money, time and space with reliable free or inexpensive standardized file formats and indexing and search software, including Adobe Acrobat, Google Desktop and Yahoo Desktop Search.
Security
Disaster Recovery - LawNet will provide you with a copy of your files on CD/DVD or Thumb drive. Best practices dictate that you download the files to your network and on-site storage at your office for day-to-day retrieval and reference. Subsequently the CD/DVD or Thumb drive should be securely stored off-site as a backup for disaster recovery purposes.
Network Access and Off-Site Backup - LawNet can also store your digital files on secure Web servers, for a nominal fee. In the event that both copies of your files are destroyed or inaccessible, we will provide you with new copies upon request. In addition to providing a secondary off-site backup this allows you to access your essential files from anywhere through a secure network connection.
