Gregory G. Petersen, in the pursuit of constitutional claims, has handled cases dealing with regulatory law and administrative law issues, especially in the areas of law enforcement FLSA labor law, including successfully arguing for his corporate and individual clients where various laws, rules and/or regulations were unlawful. He is now in private practice, and previously served as the Managing Partner at Castle, Petersen & Krause, LLP.
For 25 years, he focused on wage and hour law, serving as lead counsel in a number of complex cases related to the FLSA and California labor law. Greg also served as the Chairman of Complex Litigation Group. Named as a Southern California Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine, Law and Politics Media, Inc. Being in the forefront of technology in Information and data management, Greg has enjoyed the IT field for over 40 years and remains committed to the industry. He has a strong background in banking, finance, media, printing and technology companies (in equity and management positions).
Prior to practicing law and as a well-known trial attorney, Greg worked as a law enforcement officer in Chicago and later in San Diego. Earlier, he served on active duty in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1969. Serving in Da Nang and Chu Lai, Vietnam from May 1967 to May 1968, Greg has been active in Veteran affairs. Named Legionnaire of the Year for 2002 and 2003 when he as the Judge Advocate of the American Legion, Post 291. Memberships include the Vietnam Veterans of America, the Disabled Veterans of America, the Navy League of the United States and the Fleet Reserve Association.
